Community Guidelines

1. Participation and audience

These standards apply to user contributions and interactions wherever Zene provides them, including profile details, playlist covers and names, and any enabled comments, posts, invitations, or community areas. They do not imply that every listed capability is currently available. Choose an appropriate audience and share only material you have permission to use.

Criticism and disagreement can be expressed without threats, degradation, or disclosure of private information. Respect another person’s decision not to interact. A pseudonym is permissible where the feature allows it, but impersonation and deceptive claims of official affiliation are not.

2. Prohibited content and behaviour

Do not threaten, intimidate, stalk, sexually harass, or organise abuse of a person. Do not promote hatred or violence against people on the basis of protected characteristics, recruit for violent extremism, or celebrate acts of serious violence in a way that encourages harm.

Do not publish sexual exploitation material, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual deepfakes of real people without consent, or threats to distribute intimate material. Child sexual abuse and exploitation, grooming, sextortion, and sexualised depictions of minors are prohibited, including synthetic or manipulated content.

Do not disclose another person’s home address, private contact details, credentials, financial information, or sensitive records without a lawful basis and appropriate permission. Do not impersonate people, run scams, distribute malware, promote illegal transactions, or manipulate engagement through deceptive automation.

Discussion of distress, recovery, or support is not itself prohibited. Content that encourages suicide, provides instructions for self-harm, targets a vulnerable person for harm, or graphically exploits injury may be restricted. Emergency help should be sought from local emergency services; Zene is not an emergency-response service.

3. Creators, advertising, and accuracy

Respect copyright, publicity, privacy, and other rights. Attribution is useful but does not replace permission. Clearly disclose a paid or materially incentivised endorsement where required, and do not claim sponsorship, a verified identity, or a commercial affiliation that does not exist.

Do not knowingly publish false allegations about identifiable people. Celebrity status does not remove privacy or reputation rights. If you believe an entertainment listing is inaccurate or harmful, identify the item and correction needed rather than reposting the allegation in a campaign against the person.

4. Reports and urgent intimate-image requests

Email work@zenemusic.co with the subject “Safety report” and identify the account, item URL, approximate time, and a concise description. Use an in-product report or block control where one is available. Do not assume a control exists on every surface, and do not attach unlawful or sexually exploitative images as evidence.

For a non-consensual intimate image, including a sexual deepfake, use the subject “Intimate image removal”. Identify the image’s Zene location, state that you are the depicted person or authorised to act for them, provide safe contact information and an electronic or physical signature, and state your good-faith belief that the publication was without consent. Do not resend the image itself.

Where the US TAKE IT DOWN Act applies, valid requests require removal as soon as possible and within forty-eight hours and reasonable efforts concerning known identical copies. Other laws may impose separate or shorter obligations. This draft is not evidence that an operational removal system has been verified; that capability must be in place wherever required.

5. Enforcement and reconsideration

Depending on severity and context, a substantiated violation can result in content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, or termination. Serious child-safety threats or other unlawful conduct may require urgent action, evidence preservation, and reporting to a competent authority. Enforcement should consider the content, surrounding context, likely harm, and relevant account history.

If you believe a decision is mistaken, contact work@zenemusic.co with the decision reference, affected item, and reasons for reconsideration. Further review should consider relevant evidence and applicable appeal rights. Do not create new accounts or repost removed material to evade an unresolved restriction. No round-the-clock staffing or guaranteed response time is represented by this draft.
